Child Care Assistance

Subsidizes the cost of child care for parents who are in school full-time or working. Subsidy rates range from 55% - 97% of child care, based on income guidelines, with a maximum limit per child.

To be eligible you must:
  • Be enrolled or eligible to be enrolled in an Alaska Native or American Indian Tribe.
  • Must live in the Aleutian/Pribilof Islands Region; or be temporarily out of the region attending school.
  • Children must be under the age of 13 or under the age of 19 and considered a special needs child that requires supervision as documented by a doctor.
  • Parents/guardians must be working or attending school full-time or job training.
  • Must meet income guidelines based on adjusted monthly net income.
  • Must complete APIA’s Employment and Training application process.
