2011 Earth Day Fair and Theme Contest

The Qagan Tayagungin Tribe is preparing for the 2011 Earth Day Fair April 23, 2011.  Planning meetings for this annual event will start February 22nd at 5:30 in the Qagan Tayagungin Tribal office located on the lower level of the city building, room 3. 

Every year this event provides the community with the opportunity to come together and learn about the environment in an entertaining and engaging way.  If you're interested in being a part of this event, please contact Tiffany at the Tribe, or attend the planning meetings.  Any and all help is greatly appreciated.

In preparation for this event, we are also holding an Earth Day Fair Theme Contest!  All local artists are invited to participate in this contest to develop a theme which will be used for this years Earth Day fair.  These pictures are examples of previous years entries. 

All entries should be submitted to the Qagan Tayagungin Office by noon, March 11, 2011.  Entries can be submitted in person to the Tribal Office, or by mail to the Qagan Tayagungin Tribe, P.O. Box 447, Sand Point, AK 99661.

The winning theme will be used to promote the 2011 Earth Day Fair, and the winner of the contest will be announced and recognized during the fair.
