Emperor Goose Hunt Inforamtion

The State of Alaska fall 2017 emperor goose hunt is open to Alaska Residents and requires hunters to obtain a free registration permit to hunt.  Hunters just have a current hunting license to obtain a permit.  A registration permit allows a hunter to harvest ONE emperor goose per season.

There are 7 hunt areas.  A copy of the map will be provided at the office when a registration permit is obtained.  The Aleutians hunt area is open October 8th through the 22nd of January.  Hunters can call 907-267-2527 to request registration permits for hunt areas in addition to their local hunt area.

Successful hunter MUST report their harvest either by phone (1-800-478-7468) or online at http://www.adfg.alaska.gov.  Click on file hunt report under hunting and shooting.  Harvest reports are required to be submitted within 24 hours or 72 hours depending on the hunting area.  Hunt areas will be closed by emergency order when their quota is reached.
