Tribal Office Limiting Public Access

The Qagan Tayagungin Tribe is limiting public access to the Tribal Office effective Monday March 16, 2020.  On Thursday, March 12, 2020, Alaska Governor Mike Dunleavy announced the first case of COVID-19 in the state. In a statement published Thursday March 12, Alaska Governor Dunleavy said the patient is a foreign national who developed a fever and respiratory symptoms shortly after arriving in Anchorage, Alaska. While there are no other reported cases, ensuring the health and safety of our team and community is our number one priority.

The Tribal office may be closed to the public, but the Qagan Tayagungin Tribe remains open for business.  Staff will continue working normal business hours.
Food Distribution Clients are being contacted and asked to either complete their issuance shopping lists via an internet form, or to schedule a time to come to the office.  This is being done in the spirit of social distancing to prevent multiple clients from being present at the same time.

Tribal Citizens will still be able to reach the tribe via email and phone.
