What is the purpose of the QTT Higher Education Grant?
The Qagan Tayagungin Tribe’s Higher Education Grant Program provides supplemental financial assistance to eligible Qagan Tayagungin Tribal citizens who are seeking an associate or baccalaureate degree from an accredited institution of higher education.
Who is Eligible for the Higher Education Grant?
Students seeking assistance must meet the following criteria:
- Must be an enrolled citizen of the Qagan Tayagungin Tribe
- Must be enrolled, or accepted for enrollment in a degree granting program of a nationally accredited college or university
- Must demonstrate financial need after other sources of funds are applied
What information and documents are needed to submit a complete application?
- A completed Higher Education Grant application
- Your Qagan Tayagungin Tribal Enrollment Card
- Your Certificate of Indian Blood
- Official Transcripts
- Letter of Acceptance from the college or university
- 2 current letters of recommendation
- A letter of intent
- A class schedule
- A completed FAFSA
- If a part time student, a justification letter as to why
- A budget forecast completed by the college or university's financial aid office
